Alpine, Laurent Rossi: “Fourth place in the world championship must be a springboard”

Alpine certainly had a positive season. The French team based in Enstone took fourth place in the constructors’ championship, also quite clearly beating McLaren, decidedly less competitive overall in this 2022 vintage. Despite the many problems Alonso had, which favored Ocon in the internal challenge, the gap with the Woking team was wide.

“I want to offer my sincere congratulations to the team for reaching fourth place in the constructors’ championship after a very hard-fought season – said Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine. We knew it would be challenging from many points of view, not least the regulatory changes, we started from a completely blank sheet. Thanks to everyone at Enstone and Viry for developing the car very well so we can make great progress during 2022. Fourth place was our goal, everyone in Alpine wants to use this result as a springboard for next season, we want to stay in line to the top teams. Special thanks to Fernando for his achievements, we wish him well in the continuation of his career ”.
