Alfa Romeo, Vasseur: “I’m confident, Baku is an exception in a so far positive season”

Alfa Romeo came out with broken bones from the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The team from Hinwil was fighting for the points zone with a fierce Zhou, but a technical problem on the Chinese’s C42 forced him to retire. Bottas, on the other hand, did not have a good pace throughout the weekend, and at the Canadian Grand Prix the Swiss team wants to redeem themselves and take back that place they deserve in the points.

“The weekend in Baku was challenging for the team, but these are the circumstances in which you can see the true courage of a group – said Fred Vasseur, Alfa Romeo team principal. We are determined, in Canada we want to show that last week’s result is an exception to what we have done so far and I am confident we will recover. There are many positives to work on: we saw a great pace from Zhou and we know that he would have scored points if he had finished the race. We aim to have a great weekend ”.
