São Paulo beats São Bernardo and moves on to the 3rd phase of Copinha

Playing once again in São Caetano do Sul, São Paulo won again in Copinha. On the night of this Thursday (13), the tricolor of Morumbi overcame São Bernardo, by X to X, and guaranteed itself in the third phase of the competition. Tonight’s goals were scored by Maioli, Caio and Léo.

The start of the game couldn’t be better for São Paulo. At just two minutes, the team managed a good play, Maioli scored, received it at the entrance of the area, invaded and touched the goalkeeper’s exit to make it 1 to 0.

Without losing the rhythm, São Paulo got the second goal. In a move on the right, Caio scored with Pedrinho, received on the right of the area and finished in a cross to make it 2-0 in the 13th minute. With the difference in the marker, the duel dropped in rhythm and the tricolor paulista started to control the intensity.

In the final stretch, when it looked like the 2-0 was set, São Paulo scored one more. Talles Wander received on the left wing, invaded the area and crossed back, in the half moon, Leo took it first without dropping the ball and placed it in the goalkeeper’s corner, taking the 3 to 0 at halftime.


In the second stage, the game was practically a luxury training session. With the difference in the score, São Paulo and São Bernardo took advantage of the 45 minutes to rotate more the squad, giving opportunity to athletes who were on the bench, and the duel continued with 3 to 0 until the final whistle.

In this way, São Paulo secured itself in the third phase of the 2022 São Paulo Junior Football Cup and will face São Caetano on Saturday (15).
