The Santa Felicidade Grape Festival, one of the most traditional in Curitiba, will not be held in 2022 due to the advance of Covid-19 and the flu cases in the capital at the beginning of the year. The decision was communicated by Saint Joseph and Saint Felicity Parish, responsible for organizing the event, last Wednesday (05).

In the text, the Parish says that the moment requires a lot of care and that out of respect for the health of the community and the “steps of the church that teaches us to be prudent with the lives of our neighbors” it decided to suspend this year’s event.

However, like last year, traditional Italian food will be available through the drive-thru system. The date and values will still be informed in the next month.

The Grape Festival of the Italian community in the Santa Felicidade neighborhood of Curitiba is a tradition that has lasted 63 years and that, according to the Parish, will continue “as soon as possible, with all strength and security”.
