The president of the Legislative Power of Chaco, Hugo Sager, valued the sanction of Law 3464-A, which provides for the creation of the Chaco Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (ICCTI), in the last ordinary session of the year. “This new provincial body will allow us to reverse the reality that historically left us relegated in terms of science and technology with respect to the country,” he said.
Along these lines, he explained that The initiative proposes a legal and institutional framework for the development of a provincial Science, Technology and Innovation policy, and creates an autarkic body that will lead the design and implementation of public policies, contemplating the participation of the different areas of government, as well as of the organisms of Science, Technology and Innovation and local universities and of socio-productive sectors.
“The creation of this Institute positions the Chaco at the same level with respect to other provinces, and will make it possible to consolidate its technology transfer matrix to employment-generating sectors,” the deputy stressed.
At the end, he stated: “We are satisfied with the contribution that different sectors have made for the approval of this law, because it highlights the need to accompany these provincial policies with legislative tools that allow promoting scientific knowledge for the development of Chaco society.”
