The Government of Santa Cruz; Through the Secretary of State for the Environment, in conjunction with the Municipality of Río Gallegos, the Provincial Agrarian Council, INTA, Provincial Highway and the collaboration of the Argentine Army; will perform a Eco-exchange Day in the context of the Global Campaign “To clean up the World”.
This activity is framed within the provincial program “Green Actions”, which promotes initiatives that aim to promote and raise awareness about caring for our environment.
The day will be carried out during the days September 25 and 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the SIPEM site (Av. San Martín and Don Bosco) in Río Gallegos, where residents can bring their recyclable waste to the sector arranged with marked pockets for each type of item.
The materials to be received per person will be consortium bags (large) filled with crushed PET plastic bottles, aluminum or canning cans, and / or 5 disassembled medium / large cardboard boxes. In exchange, cloth bags with Green Actions design, bags with compost, aromatic seeds, cuttings, among other presents, will be randomly delivered.
In addition, Two talks per day will be addressed at the SIPEM site (limited places), to which they must register previously to the link https://forms.gle/f6jWr7LnvZ6jFSkw6, on the following topics:
- Saturday 25 at 3 pm: “Itinerant Compost” – Municipality of Río Gallegos.
- Saturday 25 at 5 pm: “Waste Separation” – Nueva Santa Cruz recycling plant.
- Sunday 26 at 3 pm: “Cuttings” – Provincial Agrarian Council.
- Sunday 26 at 5 pm: “Huerta” – INTA.
