Quentin Fillon-Maillet imposed himself as a “Superman” and signed his 10th World Cup victory

This Thursday 13 January 2022, the biathlete from Grandvaux Quentin Fillon-Maillet, all crowned with the leader’s bib of the World Cup endorsed last weekend, won the boss in the sprint event which took place in Ruhpolding in Germany.

The Jurassien has thus signed its 10th victory in the World Cup of his career, after having achieved a perfect race both on shooting and on skis.

Quentin Fillon-Maillet won in front of the former world champion the German Benedict Doll and Belarusian Anton Smolski.

After 12 competitions out of 22, Quentin Fillon-Maillet widens his gap at the top of the general classification of the World Cup with 521 points, in front of his teammate Emilien Jacquelin (449 points) and the Swedish Sebastian Samuelsson (448 points). Norwegians Tarjei Boe and Vetle Sjaastad are respectively 4th and 5th with 404 and 379 points.

Note that yesterday, Wednesday January 12, 2022, on the women’s sprint, Anaïs Bescond placed 7th with a 10 of 10 in shooting.

– January 15: men’s 4 x 7.5 km relay at 2:30 p.m.
