Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty were sued by Jennifer Hough, the woman who claims to have been raped by Nicki’s husband
In August, Jennifer Hough, a woman who claims she was sexually abused by Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, filed a criminal case against the couple. Hough claimed she was being threatened and harassed by the Pettys, claiming they tried to convince her to change her story. In 1995, Kenneth was convicted of attempted first-degree rape after Jennifer accused him of threatening her with a knife.
Although he initially faced rape charges, Kenneth Petty pleaded guilty to the attempted crime and later served four years in prison. O Hollywood Unlocked exclusively reported that they have a copy of new documents showing that Nicki Minaj and her husband have filed suit against Jennifer Hough. In turn, Hough’s lawyers asked the court to consider a trial in which the defendant did not present arguments that would prove his innocence.
According to the latest update on the case, Jennifer Hough has filed suit against them for not responding to the lawsuit. The judgment could result in a $15 million fine for the couple. In a petition to Douglas Palmer of the United States District Court in the Eastern District of New York, Hough’s attorney Tyrone A Blackburn said of the Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty default suit:
“Please report the default of Defendants Onika Tanya Maraj and Kenneth Petty, aka Zoo, in accordance with Rule 55 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure framework for omitting information or otherwise attempting to make this action defended, as fully contained in the court’s file”. Nicki Minaj and her husband have not said publicly about the charges against them, but Jennifer Hough recently appeared in an interview where she was moved in the The Real.
