Zote soap, Mexico’s contribution to civilization: Christopher Landau

Christopher Landau, former US ambassador to Mexico, He showed that his favorite soap for washing clothes is Jabón Zote and thanked Mexico and the company La Coronacreator of the well-known cleaning bar, for this “great contribution”, as the diplomat described it.

Landau, who was the United States ambassador to Mexico from 2019 to 2021, shared images of his wife posing with a bar and bits of Zote soap, which he says Caroline Landau uses to wash clothes.

“One of the great contributions to human civilization is #JabonZote. My wife @landau_caroline, also called #LadyZote, takes it on the #CaminoDeSantiago and uses it daily to wash clothes. Sometimes the most basic is the most important. Thank you and @jabonlacorona,” the diplomat wrote on social networks.

Also in the pictures Christopher Landau is seen posing with the book “100 Years. La Corona Soap Factory.”

The former official cataloged Zote soap as “One of the great contributions to human civilization” and he mentioned that his wife uses it at home, for which he pointed out that she is called “Lady Zote”. He also explained that his spouse took him with her on the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain.

Social network users responded to Landau with images of their purchases of said soap in liquid presentation and affirmed that they also use it to wash their clothes and even bathe with it.
