Two-way adaptation begins on Independencia Boulevard in Torreón

This Friday the adaptation works of a two-way stretch on the Independencia de Torreón boulevard began, this within the framework of the construction of the 4 Caminos Road System (SV4C) that has been underway since last April.

It was andAt 08:00 a.m., state and municipal authorities carried out an operation to place road signage elements in a lane of the southern body of Independencia, in the corresponding section of Río Nazas street and up to Zacatecas street heading west to allow safe circulation in both directions in the area in the coming days.


In the northern body of the same Boulevard Independencia, only one traffic lane was left enabled from the Northeast to the Southwest, which has naturally derived in greater concentrations of vehicular traffic around the point of the physical works.

The Urban Mobility Directorate deployed Transit elements throughout the perimeter to guide drivers, including at the accesses to alternate routes such as Calle Madrid, Bulevar Constitución, as well as on the Abastos and Ávila Camacho roads.


It was during previous days that excavations also began in the central lane of Independencia, which is why the presence of heavy machinery and a large number of workers in the entire 4 Caminos area is already common.


The SV4C project is executed by the Government of Coahuila in Torreón, has an investment of approximately 510 million pesos and is expected to be inaugurated in October 2023.
