Mar del Plata has positioned itself in recent years at a regional and national level as one of the largest producers of craft beer premium. Faced with this development, from the Deliberative Council they promote a request for the municipality to offer a guide that allows neighbors and tourists to know the route of guided visits to the different factories.
The proposal was raised in recent days by the councilor Daniel Nunez (UCR) with the intention that the Executive, through the Municipal Tourism Entity (Emtur), prepare a guide that contains and describes the complete offer of guided visits to the local craft breweries that offer this tour.
To promote your products, several Mar del Plata breweries open the doors of their factories so that the public can visit their facilities and taste beersas well as internalize about the production processes.
The author of the project pointed out that the city has, for several years now, had “comprehensive development” of the industry, which ranges from the selection of raw materials to the sale to individuals, all with labor from Mar del Plata and Bata.
“In our party there are multiple craft breweries that offer guided tours to the public in order to become familiar with the treatment and production,” Daniel Nuñez pointed out. In turn, he added: “We have a very important gastronomic offer in this area that reaches the best international standards in beer.”
Although “initiatives are already being worked on to encourage the development of the sector”, such as the work day that was carried out in order to establish a local craft beer fair, the councilor pointed out that “A guide to points of interest in the Mar del Plata and Batanense beer industry is needed to offer value-added tours to both locals and tourists.”
