They close another business in Torreón, now a lumberyard

The actions to close irregular businesses continue in the municipality of Torreón, now it was the turn of a lumberyard in the El Tajito neighborhood that did not have the minimum security conditions to guarantee the prevention, attention and control of possible fires.

It was during this Friday that a visit was made to a business selling timber materials in the Tajito sector, it was the establishment called “Maderería y Empaques González, SA de CV”, in which the municipal inspectors carried out a documentation review elementary in the first instance, although in the second instance the review was of elementary security conditions and physical risks.

Precisely in this second point, various shortcomings were found, especially since the establishment did not have a Contingency Plan, which results in fire risks and other threats to the workers themselvesas well as for those who work and live in the surrounding area.

Given this situation, the municipal workers informed the staff and their administration that the space would be closed, so they then proceeded to place the corresponding seals on the entrances and exits of the space.

These types of actions are part of the regular work of the Inspection and Verification Directorate, in the same there have been recent closures of establishments of food, car wash and others, in all cases for failing to comply with elementary rules of operation.
