The councilors dealt with the problem of the stallholders of Parque San Martín

Yesterday during a meeting of the Public Services, Commercial Activities and Privatization Commission of the Deliberative Council, the mayors received the Secretary of Government, Benjamín Cruz, and the Controller of Public Spaces, Susana Pontussi, who accompanied by representatives discussed the situation they live in Parque San Martín.

The President of the Commission, José García, thanked everyone for the opportunity to exchange ideas and stated that it is sought “to have the look of what is the direction that we are going to take and to define with respect to the stallholders”.

For his part, Benjamín Cruz detailed the need to advance in proposals that are superior and definitive since “there is a social, economic and tourism issue.” Along these lines, the official stressed that the Executive is seeking a job “that allows to regulate, register and give it a legal framework to the fair”.

The Public Spaces inspector, Susana Pontussi, made reference to different regulations sanctioned in relation to the matter and commented that “for now, the Ordinance maintains that the stallholders they can continue working until December 31 of this year.”

On the side of the vendors, they assured that a transfer could be risky from the economic point of view and they proposed an improvement in the premises to be able to continue working in the place.
