the 37th Jura Baroque Music Festival continues under the theme of “Vocal Passion”.
Specialized in the repertoire of early music, the Jura Baroque Music Festival opened its doors last weekend, with three concerts offered in Molinges, Saint-Lupicin and Saint-Claude, where the particular installation of the musicians and the public made it possible to appreciate the whole Cantar Lontano (see photo opposite).
Next weekend, for the second part placed under the theme of “Vocal Passion”,
three concerts will again be offered.
Friday, June 24. At 8:30 p.m., at the church of Moirans-en-Montagne, The Queen’s Flying Squadron will give Miserere d’A. Scarlati (20 €).
Saturday June 25. At 8:30 p.m., at the Cordeliers church in Lons-le-Saunier, Anthony LoPapa and The Procession of Orpheus will perform Histoire de la Passion, based on the passion according to Saint John by J.-S. Bach. Admission: €20.
Sunday June 26. 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Clairvaux-les-Lacs, Louis Noel Bestion and
The surprises will offer a program devoted to Bach, Mozart and the King of Instruments. Admission: €20.
