SNT coordinators are elected

Members of the National Transparency System, Access to Public Information and Protection of Personal Data (SNT) elected the commissioners who will lead the 2022-2023 state coordinations.

In Durango, the 2022 Electoral Day of the SNT was held, in which members of the 32 guarantor bodies of the country and the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) participated, as well as representatives of the General Archive of the Nation (AGN), the Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) and the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), institutions that make up the System.

In a message at the beginning of the Conference, the commissioner president of INAI and the National Council of the SNT, Blanca Lilia Ibarra Cadena, stated that the system is one of the most elaborate, solid and united spaces for inter-institutional cooperation in the Mexican State, whose work strengthens the democratic system of the country, by defending the human rights of access to information and protection of personal data.

In turn, Commissioner Norma Julieta del Río Venegas, coordinator of the work of the Executive Secretariat of the SNT, pointed out that the electoral process allows renewing the commitment of the system with the tasks to promote both transparency in public management, as well as the rights access to information and protection of personal data throughout the country; the foregoing, strengthening collaboration and coordination between local guarantor agencies and the INAI.

“We will support the Commissioners who took on the challenge of coordinating a Commission; It is quite a challenge, because the work that reaches the National Council, which presides over the INAI, emanates from them, renewing and modifying guidelines that go down to the states, administrative units and obligated subjects, of that importance is the work of the Commissions , the Regions and the National Coordination”, he pointed out.

The work of the SNT is distributed among 11 thematic Commissions, four regions (Center, Center-West, North and Southeast) and the Coordination of the Guarantor Agencies of the Federative Entities, whose holders are elected to hold office for one year and can be re-elected once.
