As happened a couple of months ago in Camboriú, a delegation of amateur boxers from this city traveled to intervene between Friday and Saturday in an international tournament thanks to the impulse of the local promoter Mauricio Dovalholder of Bristol Box.
Seven fighters, accompanied by the remembered ex-boxer Nazareno Ruiz and Gabriel Monzón as coaches, left on Wednesday from this city to participate in the “Talent of the Year” contest which will be held at the Ufro Olympic Gymnasium in the Chilean city of Temuco.
The boxers from Mar del Plata are already in Temuco and with a good appetite.
the miramarense Juan Manuel “Monito” Bathrobechampion in his category in Camboriú, is one of the members of the team that also make up Kevin “Bam Bam” Gomez, Santiago “The Promise” Sanchez (60 kilos) Leandro Heredia (57 kilos), Juan Pablo “El Eléctrico” Benítez (69 kilos), Tomás “Picante” Álvarez (64 kilos) and Michael Lemos (60 kilos).
The tournament has Pan American characteristics since Chilean, Uruguayan, Mexican, Brazilian, Venezuelan and Argentine boxers will compete.
