President Alberto Fernandez assured this Saturday that the opposition “tried to take advantage” of the issue of the Venezuelan plane held at the Ezeiza airport and argued that “they wanted to show something dark that is not”.
“They wanted to show something that is not, some obscure thing or movement of the Government, but we acted quickly. The opposition tried to take advantage of it to link it to events as painful as the attack on the AMIA“, assured Fernandez in dialogue with Radio 10.
When asked about the arrival of the aircraft in Argentina, the president assured: “What happened is that a Venezuelan plane arrived with a cargo from Mexico, contracted by an Argentine company, where there was no irregularity. On board the plane there were five Iranian people, with respect to whom, as far as we know, there is no type of restriction, nor with respect to Venezuelans.”
In this sense, Fernandez admitted that there could be problems if the shipment of fuel for the plane. “Yes, there is a problem with the loading of gasoline, because the sanctions imposed by the United States can affect whoever gives gasoline to that plane. It’s an issue that needs to be resolved,” she acknowledged.
While, Fernandez He valued that “the Government acted quickly”, although he lamented the repercussion generated by the issue and attributed it to “part of the madness that is experienced in Argentine politics”.
Yesterday, on the same line as FernandezParaguay sent a letter to the National Security Minister, Aníbal Fernández, highlighting the work of Argentina regarding the Venezuelan-Iranian plane and confirmed that they will continue to cooperate.
Regarding the continuity of the investigation, the federal judge of Lomas de Zamora, Federico Villena, awaits the news of several key instructions that will define the future of the Venezuelan-Iranian plane that landed in Ezeiza last June 7.
