Workers of the Yazaki company were intoxicated while doing painting work in an unventilated area.
The emergency occurred around 11:30 p.m., when the employees of said company, located in the Torreón industrial park, were applying epoxy paint to the floor of an area measuring 20 by 50 meters; however, as it is not ventilated, the gases reached the area of workers, who began to feel badso they were evacuated from the plant.
Elements of Civil Protection, the Fire Department and Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene, who treated 11 intoxicated people, who were transferred, aboard ambulances, to clinics 16 and 18 of the IMSSwhere they were admitted presenting headache, vomiting and dizziness, remaining under medical observation.
In this regard, Jorge Luis Juárez Llanas, director of Civil Protection, reported that the plant was closed and it will be until this Saturday when an inspection is carried out in the area, in order to determine the procedure after what happened.
Regarding the state of health of the intoxicated, the official said that, Most of them were discharged and their health is stable..
