Leaders from France, Germany, Italy and Romania visit Ukraine to seek a solution to the conflict

the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked today the visit in kyiv of the leaders of Germany, France, Italy and Romania, as well as their solidarity.

“A busy day. Important meetings. A pleasure to meet with the president of France, Emmanuel Macronthe chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, the prime minister of Italy, Mario Draghi, and the president of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, in kyiv,” Zelensky wrote on his Telegram account.

The message is accompanied by images of the meeting between the four European leaders and the Ukrainian president.

Previously, Zelenski had announced that Macron, Scholz, Dragui and Iohannis were in kyiv.

“We appreciate your solidarity with our country and our people,” he said.

Meanwhile, Scholz thanked the Ukrainian president for having received them in kyiv and his willingness to participate in the G7 summit (group of countries with the most developed economies) to be held next week in the German town of Elmau.

“Thank you, Zelensky, for accepting my invitation to participate in the G7 summit. Thank you for having us in kyiv with Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Draghi and Klaus Iohannis and for the frank conversation. We Europeans are firmly on your side,” he wrote on Twitter.

The four European leaders arrived in kyiv this morning and later visited the battered city of Irpin, near the Ukrainian capital, to later meet with the Ukrainian president.
