It comes from less to more at this start of the season and now the pilot Jake Cosio will seek to compete at the level of the leaders in the NASCAR Guadalajara Grand Prix.
It will be just the fourth date of the Nascar Mexico Series. Guadalajara will receive the best exponents of the category and I sew confident of being able to get into the Top-5.
“We definitely have the potential. We come from less to more. We have worked hard on mechanical issues and physical preparation. We are better than ever”, commented the pilot of the Chevron Havoline Racing Team.
His season started being twelfth on the first date back in Chiapasthen finished eleventh in Queretaro and comes from obtaining a ninth place in chihuahua.
This is already his fifth year in the category. He has previously competed in Guadalajara and now he returns with good feelings in search of achieving his best result of 2022.
“I am very happy to return to Guadalajara. It is a track that I personally like very much. The Guadalajara fans are classic in Mexican motorsports, we have always had a full house. We are going to do our best,” he said.
TIME TO RISK
It will be next June 25 and 26 when the Cajititlan International Trioval receive the best pilots in the country. For this fourth date, I sew considers that it is time to risk from the start.
“We’ve had quite weak starts to the race because we were cautious and didn’t get into crashes, but I think now is the time to risk a little more, to be more alert and firm in terms of race rhythms,” he explained.
“I must have a fairly well balanced car, be patient and take care of our car to push hard in the last 40 laps,” he added about his strategy to follow.
Physically, he said he was one hundred percent, but He assures that he still works with himself on the mental issue to gain confidence.
“Physically I feel strong. We are working on the personal issue, on the trust of me for myself. I know I have a great team and a great car”, she concluded.
