Since Monday, several users of the Instagram social network have reported this error in the application, through platforms such as Twitter or Reddit.
The bug reported was that when more than one story was uploaded, the app always re-displayed the upload initially instead of the most recent content. The problem occurred punctually in cell phones with the iOS operating system.
Thus, Instagram prevented users from picking up stories where they left off and instead forced them to rewatch the same content on a loop for up to 24 hours.
As a result of this problem, Meta’s spokeswoman, Christine Pai, assured that the company was “aware” that some people were having trouble accessing Instagram Stories. And, within this framework, Instagram released update 239.1, in order to resolve the bug that had been worrying users. This is already available on the App Store.
