In the first month of operation, the SAMEC in Oran attended 800 emergencies

In the first month of operation, SAMEC Oran received, through the 911 Emergency System, more than 800 calls for different eventsof which the majority were traffic accidents, followed by injuries, assaults and seizures.

According to the Agency’s statistics, assistance was provided for:

  • traffic accidents
  • diabetic patients
  • people with seizures
  • respiratory distress
  • injuries and assaults
  • hypertension
  • stab wounds
  • gunshot wounds
  • blackout
  • gender violence
  • falls from height
  • stroke
  • suicide attempt
  • cardiorespiratory arrest
  • support for medical flights

In this first period, a comprehensive work was carried out to fine-tune the operational base, which works 24 hours a day with two highly complex ambulances and in coordination with the 911 Emergency System.
