The Secretary of the Environment of the State of Coahuila reports that, at the moment, there are five forest fires in the entity: four in the Southeast Region and one in the North Region, which are being fought by personnel from various corporations.
The fires are located in the areas known as Huachichil and Coyotera 2, in Arteaga; in San Lorenzo and in Llano Largo, in Saltillo; and in Corrales, in Ciudad Acuña.
In the Huachichil fire, at the moment, 75 percent control is registered, with an affected surface of approximately 216 hectares, of submontane scrub and adult trees. There are 56 elements from SMA, CONAFOR, CONANP, rural brigades, PC de Arteaga, PC Saltillo, PROFAUNA, Municipality of Saltillo and volunteers, who are assigned to their combat, with the support of two aircraft from the State Government and one from the Federal Government. .
In the fire of Coyotera 2, an advance in its control of 80 percent is registered, with an affected surface of 12 hectares of scrub. In their combat, 46 elements from various corporations of the three orders of Government participate, supported by an aircraft of the State Government.
Meanwhile, in the fire in San Lorenzo, in Saltillo, there is 10 percent progress in controlling it, with an affected area of 30 hectares of scrub and mature trees. 23 elements from various corporations are assigned to this fire.
For the fire in Llano Largo, the SMA reports that at the moment there is 10 percent progress in its control, with an affectation of 30 hectares of scrub and adult trees, in which 23 elements participate in its fight, belonging to various corporations.
Likewise, in the fire in Corrales, in Ciudad Acuña, there is currently an advance of 10 percent in its control, with an estimated affectation of 90 hectares, and in which 20 combatants from various corporations of the three orders of Government are assigned. .
