"Day of fascination with plants" a week dedicated to botany

In the framework of Fascination for Plants Daythe National Academy of Sciences (ANC) invites you to participate in its activities scheduled for the week of May 16 to 20. Throughout the week, the public and interested schools will be able to walk through a small forest in the Central Hall of the building (which is a National Historical Monument), learn about the names and characteristics of our native trees and participate in different conferences, contests, workshops and more. ..

All the activities of this outreach event are open and free of charge and will be held at the ANC headquarters: Av. Vélez Sarsfield 249, city of Córdoba.

Activity program

Workshop “My garden in 3 steps” will be on Thursday, May 19 – 12:00. It is an activity for schools of all levels, with prior reservation.

Workshop “The forest seed and its conservation” will be on: Monday May 16 – 14:00 | Thursday May 19 9:30 | Friday 20 – 10:00 | Activity for schools of all levels, with prior reservation.

Exhibition “Our forest in the center of the city” can be visited from Monday 16 to Friday 20 May.

Selfie contest “My plant and me”

Take your selfie with the plant that fascinates you the most, send it to the ANC’s Instagram and tell your family and friends to vote for it. The ones with the most likes by the end of the week will win fantastic prizes . It is an activity for all public.
