Members of the Treasury, Heritage and Public Account Commission of the Cabildo de Torreón rejected this Friday the financial report corresponding to the month of last December, it was also the first session of the commission in charge of the first alderman, Luis Jorge Cuerda Serna.
It was during the morning of this day that the councilors met in a hybrid way and in accordance with the protocols against the spread of COVID-19, there the details of the financial report of last December were put to consideration, same in which various irregularities stood out, mainly when 69 percent of public spending was allocated to the payroll item.
In the same way they reported that there were “anomalies” in Capitalizable Public Investment, since some 90 million pesos were allocated, which is almost 35 percent of the annual Public Works budget, to be applied as of December 15, practically within the framework of the closure of the last municipal administration.
In this way, unanimous votes were given against the December financial report, warning the councilors that they will also have to wait for the Public Account of the closing of the year 2021 to execute further analysis and legal determinations in this regard.
It should be remembered that for the first session of the Treasury, Heritage and Public Account Commission of the Cabildo de Torreón, the first alderman, Luis Jorge Cuerda, is the president; José Armando González as secretary; in addition to the councilors Laura Reyes Retana, Felipe González, Elba Leticia de Alba, Mónica Montero and Jesús Javier Gómez being appointed as members.
