LEAP: FPS for up to 60 players releases trailer; closed beta next week

The game promises to differentiate itself by the verticality of the combats and by the varied system of classes

Developer Blue Island Studios announced last Monday (10) the release of LEAP, competitive first-person game that brings together up to 60 players on the same map. The game stands out for its focus on combat that takes place in the air, allowing players to jump, glide and fly freely while trying to survive.

Before starting sales of the title, the team will promote a Closed Beta between the 19th and 21st of January to ensure the proper functioning of your servers. Registration to participate in it is now open on the official website — click here to access — and those interested can also be part of the Official game server on Discord.

If everything goes according to plan, Blue Island Studios plans to launch LEAP in early access on Steam as early as February. The studio’s intention is to take advantage of the period to listen to fan feedback, add content and improve aspects of the game before it receives its final release.

LEAP offers class-based system

In addition to betting on confrontations marked by verticality, LEAP seeks to differentiate itself in the shooting genre with its system that offers four distinct classes. According to the company, each has distinct attributes of power, agility and defense, as well as epic abilities that include orbital attacks, automated turrets and guided cruise levels.

Players will also be able to use equipment such as jetpacks and grappling hooks, as well as a series of personal vehicles that promise to shorten the distances between control points. During the Closed Beta, It will be possible to choose between the Pathfinder, Titan, Wraith and Tech Ops classes, which were built to have unique advantages and disadvantages.

LEAP can now be added to the Steam wish list, and requires a PC with a 2GHz quad-core processor, 8GB RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX960 as minimum requirements. Founded in 2010, Blue Isle Studios is formed by a small group of artists and has in its catalog titles such as Slender: The Arrival, Valley e Citadel: Forged with Fire.
