Kodak Black distributes more than $14,000 in turkey for Thanksgiving Day

The rapper and his team distributed more than 5,000 Christmas turkeys in South Florida

Despite the troubling headlines his antics have resulted in lately, Kodak Black is an artist who regularly contributes to his community. Earlier this summer, for example, the controversial rapper decided to help Florida residents through the heat wave, buying a truck full of air conditioning units, even paying to install them.

Although he was ordered to withdraw from the Pompano Beach Housing Authority for disrupting the play, Kodak Black did not let that warning deter him from doing future volunteer work. Days before Thanksgiving, Kodak once again showed its philanthropic side by facilitating a free turkey distribution in several South Florida communities.

According to TMZ, Kodak spent $14,500 on more than 5,000 turkeys, and his team distributed them to seven South Florida communities – including Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach, Little Haiti, North Miami, Golden Acres, Sistrunk and Sunland – over three days.

Kodak Black was not present at the turkey distribution because he is still focused on completing his final stretch of rehab. Still, while he didn’t deliver turkeys in person this Thanksgiving, the communities in South Florida are sure to appreciate his kindness.
