Kanye West confirms ‘DONDA 2’ album and release could be this week

Kanye Texted Moneybagg Yo Hoping To Collaborate On Next Album

Even after releasing his first album in two years with DONDA in August 2021, Kanye West kept his foot on the gas. He’s been seen in the studio several times lately, so it’s clear that his creativity hasn’t stopped flowing in recent months.

On January 3, GOOD Music exec Steven Victor told Complex that Ye was actively working on the sequel to his recent album, DONDA 2. Those claims appear to be coming to fruition now, after Moneybagg Yo shared a text message that received from Kanye West about the upcoming project: “I have to record with you for Donda 2. Money in front of us. Ye”

Moneybagg Yo was recently seen in the studio with Kanye, The Game, Wack100 who is the manager of The Game, Blueface, Big Sean and even NFL star Antonio Brown as they could have music together too.

A leaked chat from today’s Clubhouse also showed Wack100 telling fans to get ready for Kanye to drop something on Friday, but didn’t specify anything beyond that: “You’ll see this Friday my bro. This Friday you will see. That hand back. This nigga don’t give a fuck… He feeds the energy around him, but Ye is so smart. The minute you think he’s crazy, the minute you’re wrong.”

Snippets of Kanye’s new music from these studio sessions began to appear on the internet and additionally from previous sessions he had with Scarface in late December.
