The Argentine Paulo Dybala and the Spanish Álvaro Morata reactivated Juventus Turin on Tuesday with a goal, after starting Serie A with a single point in three games, and they led to their 3-0 victory at Malmoe, in the debut in the group stage of the Champions League.
Both Dybala and Morata celebrated their second goals of the year and gave Juventus their first win this season., who started Serie A in the worst way, scoring a single point in three games and losing two consecutive defeats against the recently promoted Empoli at home and on the Naples field.
The Turin team was placed in front of group H, with three points, tied with Chelsea, who beat St. Petersburg 1-0, bottom with Malmoe.
The 4-4-2 aligned by Allegri seemed to restore more balance to a Juventus that, although without playing with high rhythms, made its technical superiority weigh to hurt the defense of Malmoe, who, trained by former Danish international Jon Dahl Tomasson, reached the group stage after passing up to four qualifying stages, against Riga, HJK, Rangers and Ludogorets.
After breaking the defensive wall of the Swedish team in the 23rd minute, thanks to an excellent header from Álex Sandro after a center from Colombian Juan Cuadrado, the duel went downhill and Allegri’s men had already sentenced the contest before the break, thanks to two goals signed by Dybala and Morata in the space of sixty seconds, between minute 45 and added time.
Morata got the maximum penalty when he was knocked down in the area and Dybala, albeit in trouble, slipping at the moment of the shot, transformed it to widen the margin. It was a psychological blow for Malmoe, who a few seconds later was surprised by a kickoff from Wojciech Szczesny that led to Morata 3-0, who beat the rival goalkeeper with a Vaseline.
The bad start in Serie A, in which they already accumulated eight points behind Milan, Naples and Roma, leaders, pushed Juventus to change the dynamics of their campaign, in a week that will end the complicated appointment with the Milan team in Serie A.
However, the return this Tuesday of the South American internationals changed the face of Juventus, which in Naples had not had the Brazilians Danilo Luiz Da Silva and Álex Sandro, Cuadrado, the Uruguayan Rodrigo Bentancur or Dybala, all starters in Malmoe.
Dybala and Morata combined with good affinity and also touched the possible fourth with a spectacular play in which La Joya released the Spaniard with a high heel, whose shot was stopped. Also Moise Kean, who replaced Morata in the last twenty minutes, was able to extend the gap, but his goal was disallowed for offside. Some failures that did not stain a solid victory, which returns good feelings to Allegri’s men.
On the next day, Juventus will face Chelsea, the current European champions, while Malmoe will face Zenit Saint Petersburg.
