Jalisco adds 32 more deaths from COVID-19; there are 16 thousand 407 deaths


The Federal Ministry of Health confirmed 32 more deaths caused by the COVID-19 in Jalisco, with which the accumulated since the beginning of the health contingency reached 16,407 deaths.

According to the federal report, the main comorbidities that complicated the symptoms of the disease were hypertension suffered by 51.37% of the victims of the virus; diabetes 40.26%; obesity in 24.83% of cases and 11.44% smoking.

In the daily technical statement, 1,373 active cases are also reported, which represents people who have manifested symptoms of the disease in the last 14 days.

The database of the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) reports 525 patients admitted to public hospitals and 52 to private institutions. Current hospitalization levels are the lowest since last July.

In the coverage of anti-COVID vaccination, the federal platform reports that Jalisco has 71% of the population over 18 years of age with at least one dose received; the national average is 75% complete. Jalisco ranks 24th in the country for its level of coverage.
