INNO3D Announces RTX 3080 and 3080 Ti iCHILL with Hybrid Cooling System

Chips and memories have individual cooling systems

Earlier this month on September 3rd, INNO3D announced its models of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti e RTX 3080 iCHILL BLACK which have an AIO hybrid cooling system (all in one). That is, the boards come from the factory with a temperature control system based on air cooler and water cooler simultaneously for temperature control of the chip and memories.

In order to be able to integrate liquid and air cooling systems on the same video card, it was necessary to create a custom project with a differentiated design of the dissipation metallic structure. An 9cm fan is positioned on the video card to control the temperature of memories, While the integrated liquid cooling system with a 12cm radiator is responsible for controlling the temperature of the chip.

Only the dissipation structure of the memories already has a design that tries to optimize the transfer of thermal energy as much as possible, with two heatpipes that transfer heat from the memories to the larger heatsink structure, which changes the temperature with the air thanks to the 9 cm fan.

With all this structure, the manufacturer promises that the RTX 3080 and 3080 Ti iCHILL BLACK graphics cards operate at high load with controlled temperature and fan noise levels, in addition to delivering the maximum possible performance that these GPUs made by Nvidia can achieve. catch up.

Speaking of the performance of the boards, it is worth noting that both are based on the GA102 chip, with the RTX 3080 having 8704 CUDA cores and the RTX 3080 Ti with 10,240 CUDA cores, like any other variation of these GPUs. Nonetheless, the 3080 is shipped from the factory with an overclock of 3.5% on the reference model, operating in 1770 MHz.

The Ti version of the model arrives with a 2.7% overclock in relation to the Fouders Edition, operating in 1710 MHz. Despite this, it is clear that the user can try more aggressive overclocks to take advantage of all the efficiency of this cooling system and high performance.
