This Thursday the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) announced that inflation in September was 3.5% higher than in August. So far in 2021, the accumulated is 37% and the interannual increase is 52.5%
This 3.5% increase is the highest since April, month that had registered 4.8% inflation. From then on, price increases had remained lower until reaching 2.5% in August, the lowest record of the year.
Regarding the specific items, the of clothing and footwear was the one that suffered the greatest increase, with 6%. In second place is that of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, with 5.9%.
The two items with the lowest increase in the last month were Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels with 1.9% and Miscellaneous goods and services, with 2.2%.
Secondly, the Greater Buenos Aires region was the one with the highest monthly increase, with 3.8%. The Northeast, on the other hand, was the one with the lowest increase, with 2.8%.
