Beatriz Haddad Maia is one victory away from the most important title of her career. Two-time doubles champion at the WTA 250 in Bogotá, the Brazilian tennis player qualified, in the early hours of this Thursday, to decide the WTA 500 in Sydney, Australia. She and Kazakh Anna Danilina beat Japanese favorites Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara, seeded 2, in a fiercely contested game with partials of 6/4, 6/7 (2-7) and 10-6 in 1h48 of battle.

In the decision of the WTA 500 in Sydney, Beatriz Haddad Maia andAnna Danilina will face the German Vivian Heisen and the Hungarian Pana Udvardy in a match that starts at 23:00 this Friday at Brasília time.
