Eduardo Clark commented that the data from the SARI Network (Serious Acute Respiratory Infection), which report on the availability of beds in hospitals, must be interpreted carefully and according to what they measure.
This is due to the fact that currently the hospitals that appear in red in the SARI Network are mainly hospitals that have a low capacity of beds for Covid-19, but not because of saturation but because they attend to other ailments that the population requires.
Meanwhile, patients with Covid-19 are referred to other medical units and of high specialty so that they are treated as a priority, for example, in the General Hospital of Mexico, Hospital Juárez or the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER).

There is no hospital saturation
In this sense, the director of Digital Government explained that there is availability in hospitals, but that the medical facilities that used to be “Covid-19 Hospitals“and they only cared for patients with this disease, they have been reconverting due to the decrease in serious cases to return to the care of the general ailments where the population goes.
There is wide availability in hospitals, however, there are fewer hospitals that serve Covid because, fortunately, we have a lower hospital demand, “he said.
The capital authorities reiterated that there is no hospital saturation, and that if necessary it has the equipment to increase the additional beds and it would be carried out gradually as was done last year.
