The first step in accessing your viewing log is to review the videos that you liked. However, this would only be useful to the extent that you have given them like to all the posts you saw. Anyway, it is a good way to start and this is what you should do:

  • Open the TikTok app.
  • Press the Profile icon.
  • Select the heart, located in the central part of the screen. *
  • Check the listing to find the video you were looking for.

* If the heart is accompanied by a lock, this means that only you can see the videos that you liked. Otherwise, your activity is also available to your followers.

But what to do if you didn’t like the video in question? You will then need to submit a request to download your activity on TikTok, a process that could take approximately 24 hours. These are the steps you must follow.

  • Open the TikTok app.
  • Press the Profile icon.
  • Select the three horizontal bars to open the main menu.
  • From the pop-up menu, select Settings and privacy.
  • Check the option Privacy.
  • Head up to Download your data.
  • Request the data file. You can order it in TXT or JSON format. We recommend choosing the first option, since the second is usually a schedule file.
  • When ready, the file will be available in the tab Download data.

Once you receive the file, which should happen within 24 hours of making the request. The file will contain your personal data, such as the list of followers, list of videos with I like it, your login history, among other background.

In addition, it contains a file of Video browsing history, where you can see all the videos you’ve seen on TikTok, the viewing dates and the URLs of the posts, so you can check them again.
