Hit-Boy reveals details about ‘King’s Disease 3’ album with Nas

Hit-Boy talks “King’s Disease 3” with Nas in his new interview

Hit-Boy is arguably one of the best hip-hop producers of the last decade. He is currently working with talented artists including The Game, Cordae, Playboi Carti, Lil Wayne and more. Of course, it would be foolish to mention the producer’s recent achievements without also mentioning legendary rapper Nas, who has reached a step in his forties with the help of the unique production of Boy.

Hit-Boy and Nas are currently three albums into their dominant career (Kings Disease, Kings Disease 2 and Magic) and it doesn’t look like they will be stopping anytime soon. The website HNHH chatted with the producer, picking up some information about the long-awaited album, Kings Disease 3, which has been teased by the producer in recent weeks.

When asked how far he and Nas have come in KD3, Hit-Boy said that they still haven’t got it right, but it’s coming. “Man, we’re nowhere with KD3. It’s all in our mind now. We planned it. I’ve been hearing different sounds and things I want to do just to differentiate it and define my world. You know what I’m saying?” said the 34-year-old Grammy-winning producer.

“That’s all I’ve been doing, just studying different genres and stuff like that, and studying different sounds that I want to implement, but I definitely can’t reveal the sound right now.”

As for what is inspiring the current state of mind of Hit-Boy, the producer revealed that he is practically himself. “What’s been inspiring me lately is Magic, bro,” he said. “It’s like, man, we really came straight out with another hit with this shit. We don’t have any pop participation to get our shit to the top. But it feels right. It is good. You know we’re not taking any generic or cheap routes. This shit is just straight forward, quality, hard shit that he and I are working on.”
