How to free ourselves from stress and achieve a state of relaxation?
Meditate or play sports: “It is important to do some activity that helps you to disconnect, to be focused on that activity without looking at the cell phone. Mindfulness is very good, but if you don’t have time, practice a sport that oxygenates you”.
Visit somewhere you don’t usually go during the week: “If during the working week you don’t go to the park, the beach or some space that has a natural environment, it would be ideal to visit it in your free time. Be careful, it is for you to walk, look around you, feel the wind and enjoy the moment. If you don’t have time to go out, looking out the window and contemplating the day will be beneficial.”
Color: “In adults, this activity greatly reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression. It doesn’t matter what you paint or how you do it, it doesn’t matter. The objective is to paint so that you clear your mind and you can concentrate on a single activity without pressure”.
Identify what worries you: “It’s important to recognize if your concern is real or just an idea like, ‘I’m worried about getting laid off or not having a job in a few years.’ If it is not real, it is better to ask yourself why you have that idea and weigh it with reality. Some people get stressed just by thinking negative things. We must understand that our brain is stressed by real or unreal things.”
