Health in Durango warns that ‘snatched’ decisions will not be made in vaccination against COVID for minors

Before managing the anti-COVID vaccination for minors in Durango, as the neighboring state of Coahuila did, the scientifically proven risks and benefits must be known in detail, “we are not snatching ourselves”, announced the Secretary of Health, Sergio González Romero.

In his morning lecture, the secretary commented that he contacted his counterpart in Coahuila, Roberto Bernal Gómez, and detailed that they made arrangements in Texas (USA) for the donation of vaccines and begin inoculation in minors.

“We are going to value that too, because we need to be confident in these age groupsIt is not just vaccinated, we must wait for the risk-benefit to avoid getting into trouble in something that is not scientifically proven, ”explained González Romero.

He insisted that the state will not make a decision “snatched” without first having that scientific security.

“We do not get caught up in performing procedures that do not have that scientific security,” he reiterated.

On the other hand, he commented that they will abide by the orders issued by the judges in relation to the amparos promoted by the parents, for the vaccination of their minor children, before the return to classrooms in person.
