In the property that the AFA has in Ezeiza, the fixture draw for the 2022 season of the First C was held and chance determined that Central Córdoba debuted as a visitor to the recently promoted Liniers in the west of the Buenos Aires suburbs.
Charrúa’s illusion to once again be the protagonist of the contest and seek that long-awaited promotion to the Metropolitan B will begin there on February 11 at the Juan Antonio Arias stadium precisely before a team that returns to the category after spending some years in the First D.
After the premiere on the ground of the Tapodora, the Matador will be a local for Excursionistas, another that after a weak 2021 will seek to be in the foreground again and will be one of the direct rivals in the fight to climb the division.
It is worth noting that the First C is made up of 19 teams and the Tablada neighborhood blues will only be released on matchday 17, thus playing nine games at home and another nine as visitors.
The format of the championship is again like the previous one: Opening and Closing tournament. The champions of each competition will be measured in the final for the first ticket to Metropolitan B, although if both tournaments are won by the same team, they will be promoted directly.
The second ticket will be settled by means of a reduced one with the teams that are located from second to sixth place in the general table. If the same team wins Apertura and Clausura, the reduced will be played by the eight best in the general classification.
The issue of descents is not yet defined but it is encouraged that before the start of the activity it will already be resolved.

The Central Córdoba squad is training for the start of this First C season. Regarding the work carried out by the team, it is divided into double shifts or a single day between the Gabino Sosa stadium, the Uruguayan property in Villa Diego and that of Provincial in General Lagos.
In terms of football, it was learned that finally Matías Ferrari will not be part of the blue squad and his destination is in Santiago del Estero, where he will play for Miter the First National.
Another who will not continue at Charrúa will be striker Fabricio Lovotti, who decided to leave the institution while waiting for a specific proposal to continue his career.
In the field of incorporations, the coaching staff headed by Juan Rossi hopes that several names will be added to finish forming the squad that this year will face the First C and the Argentine Cup, where they will face Boca for the 32nd finals.
