The Haitian attorney general asked a judge on Tuesday to bring charges against Prime Minister Ariel Henry for the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse and asked the authorities to prohibit him from leaving the country.

Last week, the same prosecutor sent an “invitation” to Henry to appear on Tuesday to be questioned about the phone calls, which was rejected by the prime minister.

“No distraction, no summons or invitation, no maneuver, no threat, no rear-guard combat, no aggression will distract me from my mission,” Henry said Saturday.

Up to now, 44 people have been arrested for the assassination, including 18 Colombians indicated as part of the command that executed the plan, as well as 12 guards of President Moïse.
