Glass ceramic hobs are nowadays the standard stove in German kitchens and a reliable kitchen aid. It is true that pots on glass ceramic hobs do not get hot as quickly as on induction hobs, for example. Once the plates have been heated, the cooking process works without a hitch.
In the case of glass ceramic fields, the hotplates are heated from below by heating coils. This method is particularly impractical if something overflows. Milk, sauces and the like then burn particularly quickly and often lead to unsightly stains that are difficult to remove.
Cleaning the glass ceramic hob: With this trick, your stove will shine like new again
If you want to remove burnt spots on the glass ceramic hob, you usually use a sponge and washing-up liquid. However, the stains cannot always be reliably removed.
Instead, you can simply use a conventional dishwasher tab. Dissolve the tab in warm water until a thick paste is formed and apply it either to the entire glass ceramic hob or selectively on burned areas. Let the paste work for about 15 minutes and rub over the stains with a damp sponge. Then all you have to do is wipe the stove with a damp cloth.
notice: If the stains are already burnt deep into the glass ceramic hob, you cannot completely remove them yourself with the above method. You should therefore always remove soiling from the stove as soon as possible after cooking or baking.
