A total of 376.51 kilometers, 144.26 of specials, will travel Francisco ‘Chaleco’ López (Copec-Red Bull-Maxus) during the third date of the Copec RallyMobil It will be played on roads in the town of Quillón, located between Chillán and Concepción.
It will be the second time that the Maulino driver, together with his navigator Nicolás Levalle, will drive the Škoda Fabia R5 car, with which he made his debut in the second season of the contest in Casablanca (Valparaíso) with a ninth place.
“We arrived at Quillón with new energy to try a good race. In Casablanca we were only able to compete in the first stage, because due to intense rain and wind, it had to be suspended, so we were unable to fit the new car. The idea is to be active, with rhythm and lively when I am two and a half months away from Dakar 2022 ”, indicated ‘Chaleco’ López.
This Thursday the López-Levalle binomial carried out the recognition of the routes that have very good drainage and a mixture of floors in case of rain, although the weather forecast indicates sunny days during the weekend, but with low temperatures.
The test will have two scoring stages out of a total of 13 Special Tests on a route that is covered up to three times in two stages. The service park is located in the La Esparraguera sector, next to Quillón.
On Friday 15 at 2:00 p.m. the traditional Shakedown will take place in Cerro Negro and the Protocol game will be at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday 16 the race will start at 9:00 with a total route of 210.80 km, of which 79.02 will be timed special tests. On Sunday it will have a route of 165.71 kms, 65.24 kms of primes.
