FATAP asked for mandatory conciliation and they seek to stop the UTA strike

The Argentine Federation of Passenger Automotive Transporters (FATAP) requested that the Mandatory Conciliation be decreed within the framework of the strike planned by UTA for this Friday.

The request aims to avoid the stoppage of the services foreseen by the Union Tranviarios Automotor (UTA), which ordered a 24-hour force measure.

The protest that reaches several jurisdictions in the interior of the country was complied with in Córdoba, so it is expected that for this Friday there will be no service in urban passenger transport.

The workers demand “the same salary increase” that the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) agreed more than a month ago and assure that they did not get a response and that is why they decided to carry out the force measure.

Nevertheless, if the business request is successful and if the Ministry of Labor of the Nation proceeds in that sense, the measure would be without effect.

On the Compulsory Conciliation, Cordovan referents of the UTA union said they were aware of the request before the Ministry, but denied that until this afternoon the union had been formally notified at the national level of any official determination in this regard.

For now, it is expected to know the course of these formal steps to know what will finally happen with the strike that begins from the first minute of this Friday.
