Launch of Season 3 on Netflix

The Umbrella Academy (c) Netflix

The third season of the comic adaptation The Umbrella Academy continues on Netflix today. However, after a time paradox, no one seems to remember the group. Instead, only Sparrow Academy is mentioned…

This Wednesday, June 22nd, the third season of The Umbrella Academy premieres worldwide on Netflix.

At the end of the second season, a time travel paradox appeared to occur. A ball of lightning caused trouble and wiped out various things. No one remembers Umbrella Academy, only Sparrow Academy… A familiar face that you see (again) in the final seconds of the preview could possibly help the characters out of this unfortunate situation…

Here’s the plot synopsis for Season 3: Smart, stylish, and as warm as a lake full of icebergs, the Sparrows and the Umbrellas find themselves straight into a violent conflict that quickly turns out to be the least of their problems. Challenges, losses and surprises must be mastered and overcome, and an unknown force wreaks havoc on the universe (and may be their fault). Now all they have to do is convince Dad’s new and better family to help with what they messed up by arriving. Can they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world more than just a hiccup in the timeline?

This time the action will take place in Hotel Oblivion. This setting was also introduced in the third volume of the comic. The cast includes Elliot Page as Victor Hargraves, Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan and Aidan Gallagher.

Justin Cornwell (The InBetween, Training Day) plays Marcus aka Sparrow #1; Justin H. Min, who we know as Ben, becomes Sparrow #2; Britne Oldford (The Flash, The Path) plays Fei aka Sparrow #3, Jake Epstein (Designated Survivor, Suits) plays Alphonso aka Sparrow #4, Genesis Rodriguez (Time After Time) slips into the role of Sloane aka Sparrow #5 and Cazzie David (creator and cast member in the miniseries “Eighty Sixed“) plays Jayme aka Sparrow #6. The seventh Sparrow is a “telekinetic cube of unknown origin‘ named Christopher. Javon Walton (Euphoria) also plays.
