Kendrick Lamar says he was ‘confused’ after Drake and Kanye West made up

Kendrick Lamar made the admission on a track featured on “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers”

The internet is on calling now that Kendrick Lamar released their fifth studio album and, unsurprisingly, fans scrutinized their lyrics deeply. Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers presents feats of Kodak Black, Ghostface Killah, Summer Walker, Blxst, Taylor Paige, sampha, Baby Keem, Beth Gibbons and more.

As fans peruse the album in detail, many couldn’t help but notice that Lamar mentioned Kanye West and Drake getting along well after years of animosity. the world witnessed J. Prince orchestrating the reconciliation of the two rap icons last year in an effort to help Larry Hoover. The duo even hosted a benefit concert that aired on Amazon Prime, and it was a reunion Hip Hop didn’t think would come – at least not anytime soon.

Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers offers several lyrically captivating moments, but listeners couldn’t help but notice that in “Father Time” with samphaLamar shared what he thought of Drizzy and Ye teaming up once again.

“My dad issues kept me competitive, that’s a fact bro
I don’t give a fuck what the narrative is, I’m that nigga
When Kanye and Drake got together I was a little confused
I guess I’m not as mature as I thought, I have some healing to do.”

It was a small mention in an intimately introspective track where Lamar sonically travels through “his father issues” and how that influenced his development and relationships, but the audience couldn’t help but react en masse in his bars about his peers.
