As Variety reports, the streaming platform Hulu is even submitting its high-profile August 2021 novel adaptation to the Emmy Awards as a drama, not as a miniseries (where the competition might have been more manageable). For the leading actress Nicole Kidman and the author David E. Kelley, this is also about saving their honor, because many continue to be critical of the fact that they once won various Emmys as a miniseries with the HBO format Big Little Lies and then filmed the next season.
