Diddy and son King set US chart history

Diddy and his son King are making history.

Diddy and your son King Combs became the first father-son duo in history to top the charts simultaneously, and the duo is celebrating the historic achievement. In one of the many Instagram posts shared by the rapper, the Bad Boy Records founder can be seen having a good laugh after sharing the exciting news.

The new song from King Combs with kodak black “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” hit #1 at Urban radio this week, while Diddy “Gotta Move On” featuring Bryson Tiller topped the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay charts this week. “The way you feel when you and your child do something that has never been done and make history and reach #1 at the same time!!” the rapper wrote in the first Instagram caption.

“We send this song to all the parents!! WE CAN DO IT!!! LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE”. In a separate post, Diddy added, “Words cannot describe how proud I am of my son @KingCombs!! He put that work in!! They made him work harder and he worked even harder!! Congratulations, I’m proud of you son!! I love you!!! #1 song on Urban Radio!!”

In a coincidental video in the latest Instagram post, Diddy is seen holding a cake surrounded by loved ones and offers some words of support for his son. “This is for my son Christian. He released 1, 2, 3, 4 maybe 5 records and he hasn’t stopped,” he said. “And when you don’t stop and say fuck it, and you do what you know, and you did it for your mother too, and you did it with your own son and we’re proud of you.”

The last success of King Comb came after he told HipHopDX in 2020 that his father has always been his music’s harshest critic and that first impressions matter to him, even if it’s his son. “My dad and I have a good relationship and are really close sometimes, like we’re brothers,” Combs told DX via Zoom.

“We are super cool. But Pops, he doesn’t play games, he always makes sure I’m on my Ps and Qs, and that I’m working hard, and really not taking anything for granted. He’s tough on me sometimes, but at the end of the day, that’s my dad. That’s what he’s supposed to do, so he’s cool.”
