On Monday, the MSV Duisburg had to accept the next defeat at Türkgücü Munich. Nevertheless, coach Pavel Dotchev saw progress in the game of his team.
Described the performance of his team against Türkgücü as a step forward: Pavel Dotchev.
On Monday evening, the MSV Duisburg made a guest appearance at Türkgücü Munich and again did not achieve anything that could be counted. Both teams started the game with nine points from the previous season – the clubs also met each other in a playful way. For a long time it looked like a draw, but shortly before the end, Türkgücü striker Albion Vrenezi scored the 0: 1 (81st), and MSV suffered their fifth defeat in eight games.
Dotchev: “Particularly painful”
The guests missed several chances. That makes the defeat “particularly painful” for Pavel Dotchev, as the trainer admitted in the MagentaSport interview. He went into more detail on the reasons for his frustration: “That we had the better playing structure and the better chances. The mistake we made today was that we simply didn’t take our chances. And at some point, eight minutes before the end , a counter-situation, played well by Türkgücü, then we lose the game. ”
The team is not yet where we want them to be.
His elf is now “empty-handed”, which is “a bit bitter”. The team is “not yet where we want them to be”. Nevertheless, the coach saw progress in the game: “For me today – I know a lot of people will not believe me now – a step forward in terms of performance.”
The further course of the season will show whether the path continues in the right direction. The next opportunity to score follows on Saturday: MSV Duisburg receives Eintracht Braunschweig (LIVE! From 2 p.m. on kicker). The zebras are currently in 14th place in the table, the BTSV has three more points and is seventh.
