Dalmiro Garay was reelected as President of the Supreme Court of Justice of Mendoza with the unanimous vote of all the members of that tribunal. After several hours of deliberation, the news was known at nightfall this Thursday. His new term will run until November 2023.
Gathered in the Agreement Hall, located on the fourth floor of the Palace of Justice, the ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice elected, unanimously, Dalmiro Garay Cueli to fulfill the function of president of the highest court of justice of Mendoza for the next 2 years.
In detail, Garay He held that position in replacement of Jorge Nanclares who was president with a mandate until 2021, but submitted his resignation to the Supreme Court in mid-2020.
The ministers voted in person Dalmiro Garay, Jose Valerio, Pedro Llorente, Teresa Day and remotely Mario Adaro, July Gómez and Omar Palermo.
In addition to the presidency of the Supreme Court, the authorities of the different chambers also changed. Dr. Teresa Day will be in charge of Chamber I, Civil and Family, while Dr. Mario Adaro will preside over the Criminal and Labor Chamber.
These two ministers together with the president-elect of the court will form Administrative Room III.
The President of the Court, upon the resignation of Dr. Gomez as Coordinating Minister of the Family Law, made a motion for the new Coordinator to be Dr. Day, which was accepted by the plenary session.
Likewise, given the multiple functions assumed by the president, among which are the modernization plan of the Judicial Power and training, in order to carry out the management of these two years, he proposed that Dr. Adaro accompany him as a benchmark in Innovation and Technology, Dr. Palermo as Academic Director of the Training Center and Dr. Gomez as a benchmark for environmental issues and Yolanda Law, which was also unanimously accepted by the body.
