The state airline Cubana de Aviación reported in its social networks that it will cancel the flights corresponding to the month of October and the first half of November on the Buenos Aires route, due to the epidemiological situation generated by the coronavirus, which forces to maintain the measures of restriction of passenger capacities.
The statement explained that until Cuba begins the gradual opening of its borders, which the Ministry of Tourism announced for November 15, they will not resume their operations towards that destination.
“As of November 20 from Havana (CU360) and November 22 from Buenos Aires (CU361),” the company specified.
With regard to the possible effects that this measure could cause to its customers, it offered the following options: be confirmed on your flight for the date on which it is restored or change the date without cost to another within the year, according to the schedule of flights.
Cubana de Aviación had resumed flights at the end of December 2020, after the interruptions caused by the pandemic, but it continued to be affected due to variations in the health contexts of Argentina and Cuba. In May of this year it was also forced to cancel flights for this reason.
This September 15, Cuban health authorities reported 7,430 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
